NavOfficer

Getting help.

Messages are read by the developer. There is no account system, so nothing needs to be looked up before you write.

What to send.

A calculation report is only useful if it can be reproduced. Four things are usually enough.

The calculator and the mode
Which suite you were in, and which mode within it. Several suites work more than one form of the same problem.
Every value you entered
The full set of inputs, with units, exactly as typed. A single field read differently is the commonest cause of a figure that looks wrong.
The figure you expected
Your own answer, and the source it came from if there is one. A published worked example is the strongest report there is.
Device and app version
The version is shown in the app under Settings, in the About section, together with your device model and its operating system version.

Buying, restoring and cancelling.

Restoring a purchase
Open the Pro screen in the app and choose Restore purchases. This recovers an active subscription on a new device, after reinstalling, or if Pro does not appear straight away. Use the same store account the subscription was bought with.
Managing or cancelling
Subscriptions are managed in your store account rather than in the app. On an iPhone, open the Settings app, tap your name, then Subscriptions. Cancelling stops the next renewal, and Pro stays available until the period you have paid for ends.
Refunds
Payment is taken by the store, not by the developer, so refunds are requested from the store. For an App Store purchase, use Apple's own report a problem page for your purchase history.
If Pro does not unlock
Try Restore purchases first, and check that the device is signed in to the store account that made the purchase. If it still does not appear, write in with your device model and the approximate date and time of the purchase.

Access, correction and deletion.

Your calculations, ship profiles and preferences never leave your device, so there is nothing held elsewhere for the developer to return or delete. They can be removed at any time from inside the app, and uninstalling removes the locally stored data from that device.

Subscription records are held by the subscription provider against an anonymous identifier, as described in the privacy policy. To ask about those, write to support@navofficer.app and the request will be passed on where that is necessary.

Before you write about a figure. NavOfficer is a training and cross checking aid and must never be the sole means of navigation. Every figure must be independently verified before it is relied on operationally. If a result disagrees with a published source, send the source with your message. That is the report that gets acted on fastest.
